COLO SPRGS, CO (March 19, 2024) – Eight shotgun athletes, Rachel Tozier, Ryann Phillips, Derrick Mein, Will Hinton, Vincent Hancock, Conner Prince, Austen Smith, and Dania Vizzi have qualified for the Olympic Games Paris 2024 after the conclusion of the U.S. Olympic Trials- Shooting Shotgun Part 2 in Tucson, Arizona, March 11-17.

The qualified trap and skeet athletes are as follows:

  • Rachel Tozier: Women’s Trap
    • Pattonsburg, Missouri
    • Qualified for her first Olympic team
    • 2023 Pan American Games bronze medalist
    • Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit

 

  • Ryann Phillips: Women’s Trap
    • Gail, Texas
    • Qualified for her first Olympic team
    • 2024 CAT Games bronze medalist
    • 2023 junior world champion
    • Currently attending University A&M Corpus Christi

 

  • Derrick Mein: Men’s Trap
    • Paola, Kansas
    • Olympian (Tokyo 2020)
    • 2024 CAT Games gold medalist
    • 2022 world champion

 

  • Will Hinton: Men’s Trap
    • Dacula, Georgia
    • Qualified for his first Olympic team
    • 2022 CAT Games champion
    • Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit

 

  • Vincent Hancock: Men’s Skeet
    • Eatonton, Georgia
    • Four-time Olympian (2008, 2012, 2016,2020), 3-time Olympic gold medalist
    • Could become the sixth athlete ever to win the same individual Olympic event four times and only the fourth American to do so after Al Oerter, Carl Lewis and Michael Phelps (and the first in shooting).
    • 2023 Pan American Games champion
    • Over 24 International Medals

 

  • Conner Prince: Men’s Skeet
    • Burleson, Texas
    • Qualified for his first Olympic team
    • 2023 World Cup gold medalist in Mixed Team Skeet
    • Was coached by Vincent Hancock

 

  • Austen Smith: Women’s Skeet
    • Keller, Texas
    • Olympian (Tokyo 2020)
    • 2023 Pan American Games Bronze Medalist in Mixed Team Skeet
    • Was coached by Vincent Hancock

 

  • Dania Vizzi: Women’s Skeet
    • Odessa, Florida
    • Qualified for her first Olympic team
    • 2023 Pan American Games gold medalist in Mixed Team Skeet
    • 2023 World Championship silver medalist

The U.S. Olympic Trials- Smallbore Shooting is currently being held for rifle and pistol this week.

The Olympic Games Paris 2024 take place in Paris, France, July 26- Aug. 11, 2024.

The final Team USA roster for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 will be announced this summer, pending approval by the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee.
